Vector & shapes

Draw and edit vector paths, then combine them with boolean operations.

Drawing paths

Draw shapes and freehand paths, then refine them by nudging vertices and handles. You can even animate vertices over time for interactive shape animation.

  1. Grab the Pen tool from the tool rail and click to place anchor points, or drag to pull out bezier handles for curves.
  2. Close the path back on its first point, or switch to freehand and draw the shape in one stroke.
  3. Refine it by dragging vertices and their handles until the silhouette looks right.
Editing a vector path: selected vertices with their bezier handles extended for fine control of the curve.

Boolean operations

Combine shapes with union, subtract and intersect to build complex forms from simple ones — non-destructively, so the source shapes stay editable.

Liquid-shape merging

Use liquid-shape merging to blend overlapping shapes into fluid, blob-like forms — ideal for droplets, splashes and cartoon smears that need to flow into one another.

Vector weld

Weld the vertices of separate shapes so they move as one connected surface. That keeps seams closed on mouths, eyes and joined limbs while you animate.

Welded vertices stay welded through deformation, so a character's mouth or joined limbs never split apart as the rig moves.

Corner radius, align & distribute

Round corners numerically, and align or distribute multiple objects precisely with the align tools.
