Introduction

Celas Studio is a pro 2D animation studio that brings vector and raster onto one canvas — rig, deform, paint and animate, all in one app.

This documentation covers everything from your first launch to rendering a finished shot. Celas Studio is built so the whole pipeline — painting a background, drawing and rigging a character, animating and exporting — happens in one place, without hopping between apps.

The Celas Studio workspace, with a character rig open on the canvas and the panels docked around it.

What you can do

  • Rig characters with an advanced bone system, bone dynamics and wind
  • Warp artwork with mesh deform and join shapes with vector weld
  • Paint on infinite pixel layers right next to vector cells
  • Animate on an advanced timeline with a graph editor
  • Move through your scenes with a multiplane camera

One app, one purchase

Celas Studio is a one-time purchase — no subscription. Buy it once on the store of your choice and it's yours to keep, updates included.

How this documentation is organized

The guide runs from Getting started, through Drawing & painting and Animation, to Output. Brand new? Read straight through. Otherwise, jump to any topic from the sidebar.

New to 2D animation? Read the guide top to bottom — each section builds on the one before.
