Importing
Bring outside artwork, footage and audio into your scene — layered files come in as real, editable layers, not a flattened image.
It all goes through File ▸ Import — or just drag a file onto the canvas. Celas reads it by type, so you never pick a format; it works out what to do with whatever you drop.
Photoshop (PSD)
Import a PSD and its layers come in preserved — folders become groups and blend modes carry over — ready to paint over, mask or animate.
SVG
Import an SVG to bring vector artwork in as editable paths with its layers intact, ready to rig, weld or deform.
Everything else you can bring in
- Images (PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP) drop in as a layer you can paint over, mask or rig.
- Video (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM…) comes in as a clip you can trim on the timeline — perfect for rotoscoping.
- Audio (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC…) rides along so you can lip-sync and time to sound.
- Another CELAS project imports as a group, so you can drop a whole rigged character straight into a new scene.
- Choose File ▸ Import (or drag the file onto the canvas) and pick what you're bringing in.
- For layered files — PSD, SVG, a CELAS project — each source layer becomes its own layer here.
- Position it on the canvas and carry on drawing, rigging or painting.
To open a .cls as its own document, use File ▸ Open instead — Import merges it into the scene you're already in.
