Physics & wind

The Physics panel adds real-world forces to your rig. Right now that's Wind — a field that pushes on bones with dynamics, so hair, cloth and tails sway on their own.

Bone dynamics

First, a bone needs dynamics turned on in its Properties: stiffness, damping, flexibility, gravity and wind sensitivity decide how floppy or springy it is. Once on, it reacts to forces automatically as the rig moves.

The wind field

In the Physics panel, dial the Wind's strength, direction, turbulence and gust speed. Every dynamic bone feels it live, so a character standing perfectly still still has hair drifting in the breeze.

Dynamics are simulated — scrub or play to watch them settle. They build on top of the motion you've already keyed, they don't replace it.
