Boolean & liquid shapes

Boolean operations fuse or carve vector shapes into new ones — the classic union, subtract and intersect, plus a liquid union that blends outlines like the shapes are made of goo.

The operations

• Union (Liquid Shape) merges the selected shapes into one — Liquid smooths the join so blobs melt together.
• Subtract cuts the top shape out of the one beneath it.
• Intersect keeps only the part where the shapes overlap.
• XOR keeps everything except the overlap.

It stays live

A boolean wraps your shapes in a group with the mode set, so nothing is destroyed — open the group and you can still edit the original shapes, and the result updates as you go. Select two or more shapes and pick an option from Object ▸ Boolean to start.
