Cells (frame-by-frame)
For hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation, the Cells panel is your drawing table — a reusable library of drawings you expose on the frames you want, OpenToonz / Toon Boom style.
Exposing cells
On a raster or drawing layer, the Cells panel shows every drawing in its library as a thumbnail. Click or drag one onto the current frame to expose it, and reuse the same drawing across several frames — that's your hold.
Managing the library
Add new cells, switch between grid and list, size the thumbnails, and show names or an exposure badge (how many frames use each cell). The cell showing on the current frame is highlighted.
On the timeline, cell strips let you hold, split and trim exposures directly, so timing hand-drawn work stays quick.
